prioritizing work... $75 and higher ideas going forward. 1. bill at a commercial rate - $100/hour straight - pay or work for hire 2. monthly monies... option 1 - continue with that and what does that mean? this is too nebulious (out there) - that makes it hard option 2 - stop and just do contract work this is the best solution for all of us going forward option 3 - maybe pay a monthly fee for using all of Calvin's tools (see option 3 below) Calvin is going to think about this and come up with a rate 3. we use your tools... what would be a going rate to keep using them? (monthly or annually) - multi ftp tool - unlimited access - - mysql editor - unlimited access - - find text in files - auto process - gmext - gps - dedicated monthly fees (emerald fields, caisson labs, etc.) 4. reoccurring revenue and/or royalties (options here...) 5. future projects that we would love to get to - eventually - mass texting billing and costs for texts going out - could be pretty high - notification texting could be rolled into a standard monthly fee - gps - labels - other ideas... ////////////////////////////////////////// - Calvin would like to be paid after the fact vs paid in advanced - he doesn't want to be in debt (hours owed) - rather do the work and then send the invoice and get paid on that invoice - line out the expectations - Calvin is thinking that he owes for 14 hours at $50 ($700 value) or 9.3 hours at $75 ($700 value) or 7 hours at $100 ($700 value) - some of the next steps... - we need to get a working piece that allows for the layout and mapping - we need to go inside the system and then figure out what pieces will play and where - need to get the merge process in place - we will get another internal developer who will be more at $35 to $50 per hour to work on bringing in the different pieces. - we need the backend engine, built by Calvin, but will do the frontend using a lower level developer - at some point, we need a working model that we could build off of - sprint vs spread out projects - Steve would love to help Calvin get things built into the reoccurring model. - Steve's long term goal is get more Calvin hours based on the reoccurring model - We would love to see it get to $5,000 for Calvin a month - Heck... why not $10,000 a month - Ideas about 3rd party solutions and helping to market existing tools - what do we have that we could already sell and/or use? - We would love to look into hybrid-type options... software built systems that can get (push or pull) web-based data. This could be simple exports/imports and/or full on API socket stuff. - We have a number of existing clients that want to use text messaging and text alerts - right now. - Let's schedule another meeting to see what we can get out there (already existing pieces). New choices on the market.
