meeting with Kelly and Brandon on 2/17/2020 - talking about the balance sheet and taking adilas to the next level asset value of the inventory BSI date 12/31/19 current value - $112,819.59 on the balance_sheet_home.cfm page once the drill-down come up, $100,068.14 on the balance_sheet_parts_categories.cfm - useCost=1&storeId= - the item status is having an issue - we could get back to the upper numbers of $112,819.59 by switching the item status - from vendor going down on balance_sheet_ another report look-back known issues with multiple decimals - there ends up being a rounding error subs and parents and subs within that (each sub to each cost) parents to PO's and invoices snow owl export issues sub inventory in general... so much deeper flowing time vs point in time finding cost changes... through history and usages - time is so important be able to export all data - at a point in time (static vs dynamic - time keeps going) she wanted everything to be exportable date ranges vs a single date in time bandwidth for teaching people how to play the game what about all of the things that have evolved - they are still playing into the financials there is a distrust, due to the fact that things just show up (roll call) vs old school t accounts reconciling down to the penny - every penny needs a place to go rounding error and compounding that by volume like sales taxes... we created a rounding error bucket - we may need another rounding error bucket for the other parts and pieces of the system accrurate and reliable every day financials and month over month views consolidation of mulitple companies and corps over time exposing certain fields on an export exporting what we see in our web view let snow owl do the work for us - translating our web data into some that could be exported and used not how it oporates... it is how they can use it as a reporting engine translate the mapping to a developer roi - and project management of this project impacting more change... without going through burnout helping the sytem to go forward - I have heard Kelly say, why don't you guys do this here or there... I already know that you do it in other places... kinda like the concepts are out there and we've played with that, just haven't been able to put all of the concepts fully into play in every situation. For example: rounding buckets (to catch the rounding error and/or saw dust). Another one is rules and assignments. We use this in smart group buttons. I've heard Kelly say, why don't you guys do the same things in this scenario or that scenario. The concepts work... how can we help them to work in all of the other places as well? Great question. It may not be reinventing the wheel. It may be more of refining the existing wheel and using what we know (applying it). ***** Review the movie and take a ton of notes.... super good stuff
